Education for children
The annual nationwide ASER
Survey on learning levels in India states that only 53.4% of children in Grade
V in India can read a Grade II level text. What a hell is this! One side we
strongly says that India is one of the fastest growing country and will be the
superpower in near future. Another side is this; we have a weak (not bad)
education system in foundation of society. It is very popular idiom in Hindi “Jo hai Sarkari; vo nahi hai asarkari”.
Actually, I want to say that if we are want to be a super power nation, we must
need to be a super power in education. “Agar
mul me launcha haunga to paudha kaisa hoga!”
Yesterday, I was watching CNBC
AWAAJ and I came to knew about one NGO. Let me know you about that
organization, who already done a fantastic job in Indian education field and doing
an appreciable work for India. That’s named Pratham. It is a widely recognized
organization, having received notable awards like CNN-IBN Indian of the Year
for Public Service etc.
Pratham attempts to address
problem by mobilizing communities and the Government to get involved in the
process of primary education. Pratham believes in quality education not in
quantity education. Even though, Pratham currently reaches 3 million (30 lakhs) children in more than 25,000 villages spread across 21
states through the Read India Program.
And more than 65,000 unpaid volunteers, mostly young
men and women, provide after-school or in some places in-school education and support
to children who are struggling in school. This is simply proved that you not
need to have a big building and AC classroom for well Education. You just need
good members, volunteer, teachers who have a great attitude, passion, ethics,
values and honesty to his work.
Salute For Pratham………..
